Air Fryer Lemon Chicken Strips

15 MinThis zingy chicken dish is great for a prepping ahead and can be added to a variety of dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, sliced
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon basil, chopped
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into thin strips and place in a dish or disposable bag.
- Add lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, lemon pepper and basil, and toss chicken with marinade until well coated.
- Place in fridge to marinate for at least 30 minutes but not more than 4 hours, or the lemon juice will start to "cook" the chicken.
- Heat air fryer to 375F,
- Place chicken in air fryer basket, but don't overcrowd pieces (cook in batches if needed).
- Cook for 8 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken pieces reach 165F. (toss in basket about halfway through cook time)
- Serve over air fryer "roasted veggies", steamed rice, or riced veggies.
