Air fryer chicken parmesan comes together in just 20 minutes which makes it the perfect quick dinner!
Ingredients
- 4 Springer Mountain Farms Individually Wrapped 4 oz Breast Portions
- 3/4 cup gluten free breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 cup prepared marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (use dairy free to make this meal DF)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Flatten chicken with a large plate or bowl by pressing down.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and seasonings.
- In another bowl, add in the egg and whisk to combine yolk and white.
- Rub olive oil on air fryer tray.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, shaking off any excess and then into the bread crumb mixture.
- Place the chicken on air fryer tray leaving room in between pieces for air flow.
- Lightly spray each piece of breaded chicken with olive oil.
- Cook in the air fryer on 390°F for 7 minutes.
- Carefully flip chicken and cook again for 7 more minutes.
- Check to make sure internal temperature of the chicken pieces reach at least 165°F before proceeding to the next step, or cook for another few minutes until the proper temperature is reached.
- Cover chicken mozzarella, sauce, and optional fresh parsley.
- Air fry on 400 for 1 minute to melt cheese and heat sauce.
- Remove and drizzle with more sauce and add extra parmesan cheese if desired.
